The Economy of You: Are You Making Daily Deposits?

What do I mean by that?
Just like we make deposits into our bank accounts—hoping to see them grow, cover our necessities, and maybe fund a little leisure—we must make those same types of deposits into ourselves.
You ever try to make a purchase only to have the check bounce because all your funds are depleted? Now there’s nothing left to do but rebuild. That same thing happens to us as women. We overextend, overgive, overdo—robbing Peter to pay Paul. Instead of getting adequate sleep, we rise early running on fumes, throw a cup of coffee or an energy drink in our tanks, and just go.
But here’s the truth: running on “E” has long-term consequences.
Imagine buying a brand-new 2025 luxury vehicle—let’s say a hybrid Rolls Royce—and filling it with 87-octane gas. Sure, it runs… for now. But eventually, the engine pays the price because there’s no substitute for quality fuel. That’s what many of us do. We treat our bodies, minds, and spirits like old, worn-out Pintos and expect peak performance. Then we wonder why we’re burnt out, foggy, and physically run down.
The deposits we make into the economy of ourselves yield longevity, functionality, and a smoother ride in life. Fewer doctor visits. Less burnout. More clarity. More peace.
Self-care isn’t just about spa days and retail therapy—it’s about intentional, internal work. Your inner being needs daily deposits in order to thrive, grow, and overflow with abundance. That way, when it’s time to “cash the check”—whether it’s a long hike with your kids, an important presentation at work, or a moment of intimacy with your spouse—you’re not left scrambling for energy or focus.
You’re writing checks that clear plus some.
That’s the overflow. That’s abundance.
Daily deposits look like:
Eating nutritious foods that fuel you
Quiet time to decompress and connect inward
Journaling your thoughts and emotions
Exercising and stretching your body
Engaging in hobbies that bring joy—not just tasks that drain you
When you make these deposits consistently, your internal bank account builds interest. The return? A life of clarity, strength, peace, and joy.
Now ask yourself:
📝 What’s the balance in your personal account?
📉 Are you overdrawn?
📈 How can you improve your deposits?
Remember: one big deposit won’t sustain you if you’re making daily withdrawals without replenishing. You’ll end up depleted again.
Be intentional. Be consistent.
Build your wealth from the inside out.
Wishing you abundance in every part of your being. 💛
